State-run Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) on Monday said it has marked a MoU with Manganese Ore (India) Ltd (MOIL), to make long term vision for business collaboration for both the Central Public Sector Enterprises.
The understanding was inked by Hindustan Copper Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Santosh Sharma and MOIL’s boss Mukund Chaudhary.
As per an announcement, the MoU was marked on Sunday at Malanjkhand Copper Project situated at Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat region and as far as the assention, the MOIL will get its whole necessity of silica sand, utilized for refilling of its mines, from Hindustan Copper manufacturing facility.
Highest quality grade silica sand is a result of the beneficiation of copper ore tails, a waste created amid copper beneficiation process at Malanjkhand Copper Project.
“A copper mineral following (COT) beneficiation plant will be authorized at Malanjkhand by HCL which is relied upon to create highest grade silica sand to the tune of 5,500 tons for each day. This sand will be appropriate for road making, construction of building, etc. and is also likely to be used in glass industries after further refining,” the statement said.
